SPEED PURSUIT STUDIOS LTD License Agreement

Effective date: 01.08.2026

This Image License Agreement (“Agreement”) governs the licensing, purchase, download, delivery, access to, and use of photographs, image files, previews, captions, metadata, and related photographic content created, represented, distributed, or owned by SPEED PURSUIT STUDIOS LTD (“Licensor”).

The official website and image licensing platform of SPEED PURSUIT STUDIOS LTD is:

The website presents the photographic work of SPEED PURSUIT STUDIOS LTD, provides information about the company and its photographers, and facilitates the licensing, sale, delivery, and commercial distribution of photographic content.

Image licensing, image sales, downloads, archive access, and commercial image distribution may be conducted through www.speed-pursuit.com and through any associated archive, delivery, hosting, gallery, or e-commerce system operated on behalf of SPEED PURSUIT STUDIOS LTD, including PhotoShelter or a comparable service provider. These systems are collectively referred to in this Agreement as the “Licensing Platform”.

Any purchase, license, download, delivery, access to, or use of images obtained through www.speed-pursuit.com, an associated PhotoShelter archive, a download gallery, a direct delivery link, or another authorized delivery system is governed by this Agreement.

By purchasing, downloading, licensing, accessing, receiving, or using any image or related content from the Licensing Platform, the customer, purchaser, buyer, licensee, agency, publisher, company, team, sponsor, organization, institution, or individual obtaining or using the image (“Licensee”) agrees to be legally bound by this Agreement.

2. Website and Licensing Platform

SPEED PURSUIT STUDIOS LTD operates speed-pursuit.com and speedpursuit.media as its official portfolio, information, licensing, sales, archive, and media distribution website.

Photographs may be displayed, promoted, licensed, purchased, downloaded, delivered, or otherwise made available through:

speed-pursuit.com;
speedpursuit.media;
an associated PhotoShelter archive;
protected client galleries;
direct download or delivery links;
authorized cloud-storage or file-transfer systems;
authorized e-commerce, archive, or image-delivery services.

All such systems form part of the Licensing Platform for the purposes of this Agreement.

All licensing transactions, including image selection, pricing, permitted use, restrictions, delivery, payment, licensing confirmations, and custom permissions, are processed through the Licensing Platform or confirmed separately in writing by SPEED PURSUIT STUDIOS LTD.

The terms of this Agreement apply to all images licensed, purchased, delivered, downloaded, or otherwise obtained from SPEED PURSUIT STUDIOS LTD, regardless of whether the images were originally discovered through speed-pursuit.com, speedpursuit.media, a PhotoShelter archive, a search engine, an editorial publication, a social media platform, a direct link, an email, a client gallery, or any other distribution channel.

For the avoidance of doubt, the mere presence or display of an image on speed-pursuit.com, on social media, in an online gallery, in search results, or on any third-party platform does not grant any license, consent, authorization, or permission to download, copy, reproduce, publish, distribute, display, store, transmit, modify, or otherwise use that image.

A valid license must first be obtained through the Licensing Platform or expressly granted in writing by SPEED PURSUIT STUDIOS LTD.

3. Ownership and Reservation of Rights

All photographs, image files, previews, thumbnails, watermarked files, captions, metadata, descriptions, contact sheets, digital assets, and related materials are and shall remain the exclusive property of SPEED PURSUIT STUDIOS LTD and/or the applicable photographer or rights holder represented by SPEED PURSUIT STUDIOS LTD.

No ownership, copyright, title, moral right, intellectual property right, or proprietary interest is transferred to the Licensee.

The Licensee receives only a limited right to use the relevant image in accordance with:

this Agreement;
the specific license profile purchased;
the relevant invoice or order confirmation;
any written licensing confirmation;
any separately agreed custom license terms.

All rights not expressly granted to the Licensee are reserved by SPEED PURSUIT STUDIOS LTD and the applicable rights holders.

4. Nature and Scope of the License

Unless expressly agreed otherwise in a separate written agreement signed or formally confirmed by SPEED PURSUIT STUDIOS LTD, every license granted under this Agreement is:

non-exclusive;
non-transferable;
non-sublicensable;
limited to the exact use purchased;
limited to the named Licensee;
limited to the specified media;
limited to the specified duration;
limited to the specified territory;
limited to the specified placement;
limited to the specified publication, campaign, project, quantity, audience, or circulation;
conditional upon full payment of all applicable fees before use begins.

The Licensee may not extend the license to any parent company, subsidiary, affiliate, client, customer, sponsor, agency, partner, publisher, distributor, contractor, or other third party unless such use has been expressly included in the license.

Any use beyond the purchased or confirmed scope requires the prior written approval of SPEED PURSUIT STUDIOS LTD and may require payment of an additional licensing fee.

5. Subject Categories Covered by This Agreement

This Agreement applies to photographs and related content within the following principal categories:

Formula 1 and F1;
motorsport, excluding Formula 1 unless otherwise specified;
aviation;
military aviation;
airshows and aviation events;
automotive and high-speed photography;
related editorial, documentary, commercial, team, sponsor, and corporate subject matter.

6. Available License Profiles

The following license profiles may be offered through the Licensing Platform.

Each license applies only to the exact profile selected, purchased, stated on the invoice, or expressly confirmed in writing by SPEED PURSUIT STUDIOS LTD.

7. Personal License Terms

The following profiles are governed by this section:

F1 Personal License
Motorsport Personal License
Aviation Personal License

A Personal License permits private and non-commercial use by one individual person only.

Permitted uses

Permitted uses may include:

use as wallpaper on a personal computer, tablet, or mobile device;
posting on a personal, non-commercial social media account;
private display in the Licensee’s home;
production of a private print for the Licensee’s personal enjoyment;
private, non-commercial archival storage by the individual purchaser.

Prohibited uses

A Personal License does not permit:

editorial publication;
news reporting;
publication by a newspaper, magazine, publisher, or media outlet;
use on a commercial, monetized, professional, or promotional blog;
advertising, sponsorship, public relations, promotion, endorsement, or marketing;
use by or on behalf of any company, team, sponsor, operator, agency, manufacturer, airline, military entity, museum, organizer, promoter, institution, association, or other organization;
commercial social media use;
use on business or professional social media accounts;
resale, redistribution, relicensing, or sublicensing;
print-on-demand use;
merchandise, giveaways, promotional items, or commercial print sales;
AI training, machine learning, dataset creation, scraping, model training, or synthetic-media generation.

8. Editorial Web License Terms

The following profiles are governed by this section:

F1 Editorial Web

An Editorial Web License permits editorial online publication only and solely in connection with genuine news reporting, commentary, criticism, reportage, documentary coverage, review, analysis, or another bona fide editorial context.

Permitted uses

Permitted uses may include:

news websites;
publisher websites;
online newspaper articles;
online magazine articles;
editorial blogs;
digital news coverage;
genuine editorial reviews, reports, or features.

The relevant publication must be editorial in nature and must not be promotional, sponsored, or commercially branded.

Prohibited uses

An Editorial Web License does not permit:

advertising;
sponsorship;
promotion;
endorsement;
public relations;
marketing;
native advertising;
branded content;
advertorial content;
sponsored content;
corporate communications;
internal or external company marketing;
use by teams, sponsors, operators, airlines, manufacturers, promoters, organizers, or public-relations agencies unless separately licensed;
use on a corporate or promotional website unless separately licensed;
use on commercial landing pages, sales pages, campaign pages, or product pages.

9. Editorial Print License Terms

The following profiles are governed by this section:

An Editorial Print License permits one-time editorial use in a printed newspaper, consumer magazine, specialist magazine, or trade magazine only, unless a broader use is expressly stated in writing.

Permitted uses

Permitted uses may include:

newspapers;
consumer magazines;
specialist magazines;
trade magazines;
printed editorial reports;
printed reviews;
printed editorial features.

Prohibited uses

An Editorial Print License does not permit:

book covers;
textbooks;
catalogues;
brochures;
flyers;
leaflets;
promotional print materials;
advertising;
posters;
calendars;
commercial prints;
product packaging;
merchandise;
commercial exploitation of any kind;
use by teams, sponsors, companies, public-relations agencies, operators, organizers, promoters, manufacturers, or other commercial entities unless separately licensed.

The following credit must be printed clearly and in reasonable proximity to the image or in the publication’s designated photography credits:

10. Commercial License Terms

The following profiles are governed by this section:

A Commercial License permits commercial use only to the exact extent expressly purchased and confirmed by SPEED PURSUIT STUDIOS LTD.

The license is limited to the specific:

media;
duration;
territory;
placement;
campaign;
project;
audience;
circulation;
quantity;
publication;
company;
brand;
named user.

Commercial use may include

Subject to the specific license purchased, permitted commercial use may include:

advertising campaigns;
brand marketing;
commercial websites;
digital advertising;
social media advertising;
print advertising;
promotional materials;
campaign materials expressly identified in the invoice or written licensing confirmation.

Not included unless expressly granted in writing

A Commercial License does not automatically include:

merchandise;
clothing or apparel;
posters or commercial prints;
product packaging;
product labels;
broadcast use;
television;
streaming;
film production;
cinema use;
out-of-home advertising;
billboards;
transport advertising;
exhibition displays;
trade-show displays;
stadium or venue displays;
large-format displays;
perpetual rights;
unlimited rights;
worldwide or global campaign rights;
use by unnamed affiliates, agencies, customers, partners, distributors, sponsors, or clients;
resale or redistribution;
template use;
stock-image redistribution;
AI training;
machine learning;
synthetic-media generation;
dataset use;
model training.

Credit line

No credit is required unless expressly stated otherwise in writing.

Where a credit is included voluntarily or is required by the applicable licensing confirmation, it must appear as:

11. Team & Sponsors License Terms

The following profiles are governed by this section:

This category applies to any use by, for, commissioned by, or benefiting:

Formula 1 or motorsport teams;
drivers;
sponsors;
racing organizations;
manufacturers;
automotive brands;
public-relations agencies;
marketing agencies;
airlines;
aviation operators;
aircraft manufacturers;
aerospace companies;
military operators;
government bodies;
corporate communications departments;
event organizers;
promoters;
museums;
institutions;
associations;
comparable commercial or organizational entities.

Because these uses may vary substantially in value, audience, scope, duration, territory, circulation, legal sensitivity, and commercial benefit, every Team & Sponsors License is issued strictly on a case-by-case basis.

Only the use expressly described in the invoice, order confirmation, or separate written licensing approval is authorized.

Typical uses may include

press releases;
press kits;
media kits;
external newsletters;
public-relations distribution;
approved social media use;
team communications;
sponsor communications;
operator communications;
manufacturer communications;
corporate communications;
approved media-relations materials.

Mandatory limitation

No use is authorized beyond the specifically approved media, duration, territory, placement, audience, quantity, campaign, project, organization, and purpose.

Unless expressly waived in writing, the preferred credit is:

12. Formula 1 and F1-Specific Restrictions

Images depicting Formula 1 events, teams, drivers, personnel, cars, branding, liveries, logos, sponsors, equipment, paddock environments, pit lanes, garages, hospitality areas, restricted areas, race circuits, event infrastructure, or similar subject matter may be subject to:

third-party intellectual property rights;
trademark rights;
design rights;
personality or publicity rights;
accreditation terms;
media-access conditions;
venue rules;
organizer restrictions;
promoter restrictions;
contractual restrictions;
governing-body regulations.

The Licensee is solely responsible for determining whether the intended use requires additional permissions, approvals, releases, waivers, or consents from Formula 1, Formula One Management, the FIA, a team, a driver, a sponsor, a governing body, an organizer, a promoter, a venue operator, or any other third party.

SPEED PURSUIT STUDIOS LTD grants only the rights that it is legally entitled to grant in the photograph itself.

No license issued by SPEED PURSUIT STUDIOS LTD shall be interpreted as granting or guaranteeing any third-party trademark, publicity, personality, property, venue, accreditation, sponsorship, or promotional right.

13. Motorsport- and Aviation-Specific Restrictions

Images depicting motorsport series, teams, drivers, riders, organizers, promoters, liveries, helmets, racing vehicles, logos, sponsors, event infrastructure, aviation operators, aircraft manufacturers, airlines, military units, personnel, uniforms, serial numbers, registrations, insignia, markings, museums, bases, airfields, airshows, or event branding may involve additional third-party rights or restrictions.

The Licensee bears sole responsibility for identifying and obtaining any additional permission, approval, release, consent, waiver, or clearance required for the intended use.

SPEED PURSUIT STUDIOS LTD does not represent or warrant that any third-party permission is included unless this has been expressly confirmed in writing.

14. Credit Requirements

The applicable credit requirements are:

Failure to provide a mandatory credit constitutes a material breach of this Agreement and may result in:

additional fees;
correction demands;
takedown demands;
suspension or revocation of the license;
claims for damages;
recovery of reasonable enforcement costs.

15. Prohibited Uses

Regardless of the license type, the following uses are prohibited unless SPEED PURSUIT STUDIOS LTD has granted prior written permission:

use outside the exact scope purchased or approved;
use after expiry of the licensed term;
use outside the licensed territory;
use in media not covered by the license;
use by an individual or organization not named in the license;
transfer, resale, sublicensing, relicensing, lending, sharing, assignment, or distribution to third parties;
use in a logo, trademark, service mark, trading name, or permanent brand identity;
defamatory, unlawful, fraudulent, pornographic, hateful, discriminatory, misleading, deceptive, or otherwise harmful use;
use that falsely implies endorsement, approval, sponsorship, cooperation, partnership, or affiliation;
use that misrepresents the subject, event, circumstances, or factual context of the photograph;
removal, suppression, or alteration of metadata, copyright notices, authorship information, or rights-management information;
AI training;
machine-learning use;
data mining;
automated scraping;
dataset creation or inclusion;
model training;
facial-recognition training;
generative-AI use;
synthetic-media generation;
NFT creation;
tokenization;
blockchain-based exploitation;
stock-image redistribution;
template redistribution;
unauthorized archival redistribution.

16. Alterations and Image Integrity

No substantial alteration, manipulation, compositing, retouching, recolouring, removal or addition of elements, caption distortion, or contextual reframing is permitted unless expressly approved in writing by SPEED PURSUIT STUDIOS LTD.

Standard cropping, resizing, colour-profile conversion, and minor technical adjustments are permitted only where:

they are necessary for the licensed publication or placement;
they do not materially alter the photograph;
they do not misrepresent the subject;
they do not distort the factual context;
they do not damage the reputation of SPEED PURSUIT STUDIOS LTD, the photographer, or the depicted subject.

The Licensee may not use the image in a manner that creates a false or misleading impression regarding the depicted person, team, company, aircraft, vehicle, event, organization, or circumstances.

17. Releases and Third-Party Rights

Unless expressly stated otherwise in writing, no model release, property release, trademark clearance, design-right clearance, organizer approval, promoter approval, venue approval, accreditation waiver, personality-right consent, publicity-right consent, or other third-party permission is granted or implied.

The Licensee is solely responsible for assessing whether its intended use requires any additional release, permission, approval, consent, or clearance.

The absence of a warning or restriction attached to an image does not mean that no third-party rights apply.

18. Delivery, Files, Previews, and Metadata

Files are licensed in the form in which they are delivered.

Preview images, thumbnails, contact sheets, low-resolution files, watermarked files, captions, and metadata remain fully protected by copyright and this Agreement.

Unless technically unavoidable during an authorized publishing process, the Licensee must not remove, suppress, disable, alter, overwrite, conceal, or modify:

embedded metadata;
copyright information;
authorship information;
creator information;
usage restrictions;
licensing information;
rights-management information;
digital watermarks;
visible copyright notices.

Access to a preview, proof, contact sheet, low-resolution image, or watermarked file does not grant any right to publish or otherwise use the image.

19. Unauthorized Use and No Implied License

Any use of an image:

without a valid license;
outside the scope of a valid license;
before full payment;
after expiry or termination of a license;
by an unauthorized person or organization;
in breach of this Agreement;

constitutes unauthorized use and may amount to copyright infringement, breach of contract, or both.

No act, omission, discussion, correspondence, invoice, quotation, delivery of a preview, supply of a low-resolution file, display of a watermark, visibility of a caption, publication in a portfolio, prior relationship, or previous course of dealing shall be interpreted as granting any license by implication, estoppel, waiver, or otherwise.

A license is valid only where it has been:

purchased through the Licensing Platform;
recorded in an official order confirmation or invoice;
expressly granted in writing by SPEED PURSUIT STUDIOS LTD.

20. Retroactive Licensing and Unauthorized-Use Fees

Where the Licensee or another party uses an image without a valid license or exceeds the scope of a granted license, SPEED PURSUIT STUDIOS LTD reserves the right, in addition to any other remedies available at law or in equity, to demand:

immediate cessation of the unauthorized use;
immediate removal of the image from all platforms, publications, campaigns, materials, databases, and systems;
permanent deletion of unauthorized copies;
payment of the applicable standard license fee for the actual use made;
an additional unauthorized-use surcharge of up to 200% of the applicable standard license fee, to the extent permitted by law;
additional compensation for omitted or removed credit lines;
additional compensation for removed or altered metadata;
additional compensation for false ownership or licensing claims;
compensation for extended duration, territory, circulation, placement, audience, or media;
reimbursement of reasonable investigation, enforcement, collection, legal, and administrative costs to the extent permitted by law.

Any retroactive invoice, settlement proposal, payment demand, or licensing calculation issued by SPEED PURSUIT STUDIOS LTD shall not be interpreted as:

a waiver of copyright infringement;
a waiver of breach of contract;
an acceptance of the unauthorized use;
an obligation to grant a retrospective license;
a limitation of any other available remedy.

21. Fees, Taxes, and Payment

All licensing fees are payable in full and without deduction, withholding, set-off, discount, or counterclaim unless required by mandatory law.

Any applicable taxes, duties, levies, transaction charges, bank charges, payment-processing charges, or currency-conversion costs are the responsibility of the Licensee unless expressly stated otherwise.

No license becomes effective until payment has been successfully received in full and the applicable transaction has been confirmed.

The issuance of an invoice, quotation, draft agreement, preview, proof, or download link does not by itself authorize use before payment unless SPEED PURSUIT STUDIOS LTD expressly confirms otherwise in writing.

22. Breach, Revocation, and Takedown

Any material breach of this Agreement may result in immediate termination or revocation of the license without refund and without prejudice to any other rights or remedies available to SPEED PURSUIT STUDIOS LTD.

Upon termination, breach, revocation, or written demand by SPEED PURSUIT STUDIOS LTD, the Licensee must immediately:

cease all use of the relevant image or images;
remove the images from all websites and online platforms under its control;
remove the images from social media accounts;
remove the images from servers, newsletters, databases, publications, campaigns, and promotional materials;
cease further printing, production, broadcasting, distribution, or publication;
destroy or permanently delete all unauthorized copies, exports, and derivatives to the extent legally permissible;
instruct relevant contractors, agencies, publishers, affiliates, or service providers to cease the unauthorized use;
provide written confirmation of compliance upon request.

Termination or revocation does not affect any rights, payment claims, liabilities, or remedies that arose before termination.

23. Indemnity

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Licensee shall defend, indemnify, and hold harmless SPEED PURSUIT STUDIOS LTD and its directors, officers, employees, photographers, agents, contractors, licensors, representatives, and affiliates from and against claims, liabilities, losses, damages, penalties, judgments, costs, expenses, and reasonable legal fees arising out of or relating to:

the Licensee’s use of an image;
the Licensee’s breach of this Agreement;
use beyond the licensed scope;
the Licensee’s failure to obtain required third-party permissions;
unlawful, defamatory, misleading, or infringing use;
alterations or contextual use performed by or on behalf of the Licensee;
claims made by a client, customer, sponsor, publisher, subject, organizer, promoter, team, manufacturer, operator, or other third party.

24. Disclaimer of Warranties

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Licensing Platform and all images, files, captions, metadata, previews, and related content are provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis.

SPEED PURSUIT STUDIOS LTD disclaims all warranties, representations, conditions, or guarantees, whether express, implied, statutory, or otherwise, including any implied warranty or condition relating to:

merchantability;
satisfactory quality;
fitness for a particular purpose;
non-infringement of third-party rights;
uninterrupted availability;
technical compatibility;
accuracy or completeness of captions or metadata;
suitability for the Licensee’s intended use;
availability of releases or third-party permissions.

The Licensee is responsible for independently determining whether the image and the intended use are legally, technically, and commercially suitable.

25. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, SPEED PURSUIT STUDIOS LTD shall not be liable for:

indirect damages;
incidental damages;
consequential damages;
special damages;
punitive or exemplary damages;
loss of profits;
loss of revenue;
loss of business;
loss of opportunity;
loss of goodwill;
loss of contracts;
loss or corruption of data;
business interruption.

This limitation applies even where SPEED PURSUIT STUDIOS LTD has been advised of the possibility of such losses.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the total aggregate liability of SPEED PURSUIT STUDIOS LTD arising out of or relating to a specific image, license, transaction, or this Agreement shall not exceed the total license fee actually paid by the Licensee for the specific image giving rise to the claim.

Nothing in this Agreement excludes or limits liability where such exclusion or limitation is prohibited by mandatory law.

26. Injunctive and Equitable Relief

The Licensee acknowledges that unauthorized use, disclosure, distribution, alteration, or exploitation of an image may cause irreparable harm for which monetary damages alone may be inadequate.

SPEED PURSUIT STUDIOS LTD shall therefore be entitled to seek injunctive, interim, or other equitable relief, in addition to any other remedies available at law or in equity.

27. Audit and Records

The Licensee must retain sufficient records to demonstrate compliance with the applicable license.

Upon reasonable written notice, the Licensee shall provide information reasonably necessary to verify compliance, including information concerning:

placement;
publication;
circulation;
print run;
audience;
duration;
territory;
publication type;
campaign scope;
media;
platforms;
named users;
distribution;
client or sponsor use.

Any audit or verification request shall be limited to information reasonably relevant to the licensed use.

28. Entire Agreement, Amendments, No Waiver, and Severability

This Agreement, together with:

the applicable invoice;
the order confirmation;
the archive purchase record;
the selected license profile;
any written licensing confirmation;
any signed or expressly accepted custom license addendum;

constitutes the entire agreement between the parties concerning the licensed image or images.

In the event of a conflict, a separately negotiated written license expressly agreed by SPEED PURSUIT STUDIOS LTD shall take precedence over this Agreement only to the extent of the specific conflict.

No amendment or waiver is effective unless confirmed in writing by SPEED PURSUIT STUDIOS LTD.

A failure or delay in exercising any right or remedy shall not constitute a waiver of that right or remedy.

If any provision of this Agreement is found to be invalid, unlawful, or unenforceable, that provision shall be interpreted or modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it enforceable. The remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.

29. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

This Agreement and any contractual or non-contractual dispute, claim, or obligation arising out of or relating to it shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales, excluding conflict-of-laws principles.

Subject to any mandatory law that provides otherwise, the courts of England and Wales shall have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute or claim arising out of or relating to:
